Services

  • Small Animal Rehabilitation

We provide compassionate, evidence-based rehabilitation to help pets recover, regain mobility, and live more comfortable, active lives. Our customized therapy programs are designed for dogs and cats recovering from surgery, injury, or managing chronic conditions such as arthritis or neurologic disease. Using a combination of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and pain-management modalities, we focus on improving strength, mobility, and overall quality of life. The goal isn’t just healing—it’s helping your pet move comfortably, confidently, and happily through every stage of life.

  • Acupuncture

Acupuncture can support the treatment of a wide range of conditions, and is most commonly used for lameness, neurological disease, behavioral concerns, digestive disorders, and endocrine conditions. It is especially effective when integrated with traditional Western veterinary medicine, enhancing treatment outcomes and offering valuable options when conventional therapies alone are not enough.

Acupuncture works by using fine, sterile needles to communicate with the body’s nervous system and regulatory systems. Needles placed in areas of pain help relieve discomfort, while specific acupuncture points influence internal organs and body systems to support healing. Each point sends targeted signals that promote circulation, reduce inflammation, regulate function, and help restore balance throughout the body—supporting both symptom relief and whole-body wellness.

  • Herbal Medicine

Dr. Kelly can prescribe traditional Chinese herbal medicine to complement acupuncture and western medicine or for patients who will not tolerate acupuncture. These medicines are prescribed based on a patient’s diagnosis in the traditional Chinese medicine theory of disease. Herbal medicine is very safe and can help enhance the effects of acupuncture.

  • Class IV Laser Therapy

We utilize Cold Laser Therapy (Photobiomodulation) as a powerful, non-invasive tool to accelerate your pet’s natural healing process. By delivering specific wavelengths of light into damaged tissue, this therapy stimulates cellular energy, reduces inflammation, and blocks pain signals. It is a painless, drug-free treatment that is particularly effective for arthritis, soft tissue injuries, and post-surgical recovery.

  • Food Therapy

Food therapy uses targeted nutrition and Traditional Chinese Medicine principles as medicine—supporting your pet’s healing, immune system, and overall health through intentional, therapeutic nutrition. By addressing the root causes of inflammation, disease, and imbalance, food therapy helps the body heal more effectively and function at its highest potential.

How CAN Dr. kelly HELP MY HORSE OR PET?

During the initial evaluation, Dr. Kelly will perform a thorough exam + mobility/lameness assessment of your pet or horse as well as review any previous medical records available. After this assessment, she will make recommendations for which treatment modalities will best help in your animal’s recovery. These treatment modalities can include dry needle acupuncture, electroacupuncture, Class IV cold LASER, manual therapies, therapeutic exercise, herbal medicine and/or food therapy.

Acupuncture can treat almost any condition but is most commonly used for lameness, neurological disease, behavioral problems, digestive disorders and endocrine diseases. It often works best when used in conjunction with traditional western therapies and can be a good solution when all western therapies have been exhausted.

Acupuncture works by using small needles to communicate with the body’s nervous system. Needles can be used in areas of pain to provide pain relief and needles can also be used to help heal internal diseases. Different acupuncture points can send signals to different body systems to promote healing and help restore balance in the body.

Rehabilitation therapy helps pets recover, heal, and thrive after injury, surgery, or illness—while also improving quality of life for aging or chronically painful animals. Through personalized treatment plans, rehabilitation therapy restores mobility, reduces pain and inflammation, builds strength, and improves balance and coordination.

Therapies may include therapeutic exercises, acupuncture, laser therapy, manual therapy, and neuromuscular re-education—each tailored to your pet’s specific condition and comfort level. Whether your pet is recovering from orthopedic surgery, managing arthritis, coping with neurological conditions, or simply slowing down with age, rehabilitation therapy supports safer movement, faster recovery, and long-term wellness.

The goal isn’t just healing—it’s helping your pet move comfortably, confidently, and happily through every stage of life.
